"Disco Album 101" is inspired by 1980s disco fashion. My team and I are inspired by our childhood "playing-dress-up" with our family albums, especially when us girls first see our mothers' outfits when they were young. We want to hold on to this fascination with the disco time that we weren't born into, as well as the part of our mothers' young adulthoods that we could only imagine. The mood is edgy but still relevant. It is an unpublished series made in New York, May 2019.
