After lockdowns bound us to the confines of our four walls. The stentorian megaphone of social media telling us of the alarming effects of climate change in real time. It’s no wonder we feel an impetus to plug back into nature more than ever. In Australia we are blessed with space and beautiful land. The original custodians of our land had it right all along. To Indigenous Australians: ‘Country is self.’ Land is their mother, it is steeped in their culture.’ To remind ourselves of this apothegm instils a greater responsibility to care for it.
These photos here are a celebration of the Australian landscape. The rugged topography, arid hues of country Victoria. A fitting backdrop to celebrate Australian designers featured such as Alice Mccall, Aje and original vintage pieces from local businesses.
