We gathered eight redheaded models from across Vancouver Island to create this moment. It was one of the hottest days of the year and we created this Renaissance flashback in a seaside home, mid-island. It was truly a collaboration of creators from florals, to wardrobe, to set.
All of the models had different experiences growing up as redheads, some were supported and celebrated for their differences, and others not so much. Throughout history, the view on redheads has shifted from sinners to saints, witches to fairies, geeks to seductresses. For the last decade that's been shifting again and bringing red hair back into the light, this time for empowering reasons, and these fiery women are ready.
