Google's rear camera(s) really separate themselves from others un their industry by their consistently outstanding photos. At the office, we tested the Pixel 3XL versus the iPhone XS Max and consistently got better images with the Google phone. The difference between the two was iPhone could get a good picture 50% of the time while the Pixel was at a 95% good shot ratio.
The reason for this great performance, The Pixel Visual Core chip, and machine learning. Google has always been good at algorithms and data processing so this was no surprise to us.
For those of you who want the ultimate selfie, don't worry this phone has dual front-facing cameras allowing you to have that perfect blurred backdrop.
And let's not forget, both phones also have dual front-facing cameras, giving you great portrait-mode selfies with beautifully blurred backgrounds.
